Where can I buy a candle like that and can the proceeds go to support Environmental Defense? I hope you love my brilliant plan.

I can’t stop laughing. Margaret, please! You’re killing me! “Pesky bumph” will be forevermore a part of me. I wish I were Canadian so I could fully appreciate how delicious this post is!

Remove ‘Douglas’ and insert any western leader... works... especially here in UK...In Margaret I trust...(Atwood not Thatcher BTW)

I hope Douglas reads this.

Are we witnessing King Kong versus Godzilla; Mother Teresa versus Harvey Weinstein? Maybe I should take it down a notch: Desmond Tutu versus Donald Trump.

Or our SA Godzilla vs ANC (+ ESKOM )

No one does "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore" like you, Margaret. Thank you for your exquisite outrage on #Bill23 If you can add Tiktok to your arsenal, imagine the possibilities.... (it worked for Fleetwood Mac)

Trans-humanism, high tech feudalism and a return of King George. As bright and likable as a bag of golf clubs, his mother loves him, there is at least that quality about him, where one, naturally wants to like him. His deal was cut three yrs ago ; event 201, followed by the goose stepping of the 5I's and beyond that would circle the globe like a monolithic dozer, where public health would become a public menace, and the post modern idiocy that clouded the air further, nothing about it genuine, save that of drag story time and that whole theatre of the margins. To be fair, they do at least appear to say what they mean, are same people Friday they were Thursday, and where pallets of bricks don't magically appear for those faceless Antifa jerks, in places like Portland.

The idea that Ford might do an old school swindle, just after packing your groceries or kissing those pre election babies, nearly inspires hope in some ways, but not really. This bad dream is worsening by the hour, a train to certain doom, where the windows, all, are painted black.

The peasants are revolting?

The world is revolting.

It's just getting started.

Where shall I set your groceries ?

You know, you're more than welcome to leave the Centre Of The Universe and come out West to BC. We don't get as much snow, and in Vancouver, it usually rains at night.

Brilliant! It should be on the front page of The Star? The Globe? Who is still entertaining responsible journalism?

Dearest Margaret,

I once tried to hail Your Highness' attention here in this medium article, dated July of 2020, when I'd hypothesized that the war machine would need to contrive new plagues for us to be afraid of - likening the situation to that of Oryx and Crake:

https://blog.goodaudience.com/covid-v2-0-black-death-v2-0-cnn-reports-bubonic-plague-in-china-predictions-86338d67dc

turns out the capitalists were too lazy, and coined 'variants.'

I'm presently holed up, having long since had battened my hatches, ready to be hoisted by my own petard at a long-term psycho social rehab program in Nova Scotia. I'm waiting impatiently for the regulators with their black bags to show up and do some Do Your Own Research about the hundreds of millions of dollars I did trading crypto back and forth for FTX and a dozen other exchanges as Chief Liquidity Engineer for a firm that liked to make markets in a delta-free way not all that long ago - unsure how culpable or liable I may be, I am indeed in moral dismay of myself.

That firm has since registered 5 funds with the SEC.

Atwood: I want to pick your brain. Do your own due diligence on the above, however I've been a raving fan since the ripe age of 11 or so - about the same time I'd started to consume Huxley, Orwell, et. al.

You take the cake as you are living && in-the-flesh.

It may interest you that I made pennies on all that trading - the quant firm I worked pre-money for royally botched my post-money offer, and even though I'd bought slices of the company with my own cold hard cash in the case of worst-case I have yet to see proceeds.

I might have something that can abate some effects of the oncoming worldwide crash of rampant homelessness and unemployment. Tragedy and mayhem.

I need a brain that can actually understand it. I sound like a crazyperson and indeed -most do treat me as such.-

Please write a letter to Rob Ford next and pretend you are the patron saint ruler of his current afterlife. Actually, can we have a novel with the Ford brothers, but with Rob as the ghost of Lakeshore?

Also, love the visual of neighbors refusing to share butter tarts, I can see their pinched faces now.

Really hope you speak at a protest at Queens Park. It would soundly rattle DoFo's chain. Can just imagine the headlines the next day in the Toronto Star: " Margaret Atwood squelches Doug Ford's Greenbelt sell-off". Next, citizens storm city hall with pitchforks. It's about damn time we took back Toronto, from these hucksters.

Down with King John, King Douglas and Queen Danielle. Where is the guillotine when you need it? I'll be the Queen of Hearts and use an axe. A battleaxe, that is. (That's what they used to call old ladies who spoke their minds when I was a kid. Now I'm one of them and proud of it.)
