With #Bill23, now the "More Homes Faster" Act, has the self-proclaimed Man of the People finally skewered himself in the butt?
Thank you all...I dunno, maybe it should be Longbow rather than Crossbow? More Robin Hoody?
It was an exciting Zoom meeting, made all the more thrilling by the presence of some whale loving photography buffs. Thank you Margaret Atwood for speaking this evening!
I'm loving these stories. Thank you for injecting humour and insight into a this issue.
Here are a couple of examples of lying: Premier Doug Ford said in 2020, “I have not touched the Greenbelt, we won’t touch the Greenbelt, we won’t build on the Greenbelt”. Most people believed him.
Caroline Mulroney said in 2018 while trying to be elected, “A PC government will protect and preserve the Greenbelt in its entirety. As your PC candidate, and hopefully MPP, you will always have my commitment on this.”
I love you, Margaret Atwood...
“A bunch of idealists in woolly hats grumbling in the shrubbery...” love it.
May there be more of these folks!
Margaret, I was looking forward to your next installment about Dougie's wrongdoing and what can be done to right it. I love your writing, especially when it is for the common good. Your passion is contagious. Keep on doing what you're doing. You are amazing!
Expletive brilliant, Ms. Hood.
Here in the UK many of us think Canada is lost. But you show us all that this is just not true.
love the rage cage.
I voted conservative for the first time in 1972 and in every election since, both federally and provincially. I did not for them in the last provincial election and won't vote conservative again. Doug Ford is a liar. Caroline Mulroney is a liar.
Re: Bill #23 - The Fall of the House of Ford. The only way to treat an environmental bully (Doug Ford) … is to bloody his nose. For creative ways to carry out this endeavor read, “ The Monkey Wrench Gang” by Edward Abbey.
Hack savvy teens who follow Greenbelt defenders? Seems odd.
Today at NOON, Tuesday Dec.13th--Join us to pressure Conservative MPP Neil Lumsden in Hamilton East-Stoney creek at his office at 115 Highway 8 in Stoney Creek (across from Fortinos.) We want to know why Neil is refusing to meet with constituents.
He broke the Greenbelt promise and is not defending the 14,000 acres of Class 1 soil in Hamilton and Halton which the municipalities and public sought to protect in our Official Growth Plans. We are putting pressure on Ford and every member of his caucus.
You know, every damn time I see a picture of Ford in an article, his eyes look exactly the same as they look in every other picture.
There is absolutely no difference. You would think they would blink or shift or change or something.
Now I know why Simcoe County is so blue!
Great story and first time I've been at a "bombed" Zoom meeting. How exciting!
Here's a little song that goes along with our Dougie problems
Thank you ~ as I too don my quiver heading into the forest.
